Every state-funded school must offer a curriculum which is balanced and broadly based and which
· promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils at the school and of society and
· prepares pupils at the school for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life
All schools should make provision for personal, social, health and economic education (PSHE), drawing on good practice.
Please tell us what you think and complete our 2 minute survey. We would love to learn how best to provide you with what you need, when you need it when it comes to SMSC.
Spinnaker has been supporting schools for 30 years in the delivery of assemblies/collective worship, RE, clubs and workshops. We always play to our strengths which is the parts of the curriculum which involve Christianity.
Much of what we do enriches the SMSC provision in schools and is well received by staff and has often been favourably commented on by Ofsted inspectors.
This site is not specifically Christian, as the SMSC provision in schools is much broader than that. We aim to be a touching point for schools and visitors to schools, pointing the way to people and resources that can help enrich the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development for children.
Our online directory extends beyond SMSC to include providers of resources that teachers sometimes find it hard to find, for example – venues for school outings, music teachers, sports coaches, and much more.
